Religious Places
Religious places is place for believer to conduct worship. Besides, religious places are consider as holy place, it is a place where we gain the connection with God. The religious places that I focus on is mosque, it is a place of worship for follower of Islam. Islam is the state religious, and a dominant number of population practice Islam in our country.

Jamek Mosque, Kuala Lumpur.
Built in 1909, one of the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The mosque was build on the first Malay burial ground in the city. It served as Kuala Lumpur main mosque until National Mosque of Malaysia was built. This mosque has a Moorish, Indo-Saracenic, and Mughal architecture. Moorish architecture is the articulated Islamic architecture of North Africa and part of Spain. The Indo-Saracenic is an architecture style movement by British, it draw an Indian architecture style, and combine with Gothic revival and Neo-Classical style. Mughal architecture is the mixture of Islamic, Persian, and Indian architecture. They have the uniform pattern of structure and character, including domes, slender minarets at the corner, massive walls, large vaulted gateways and delicate ornamentation.
As Syakirin Mosque
It is located in Kuala Lumpur, near the Petronas Twin Tower. Built in 1996, but went through a major renovation in 2009 to increase the capacity. This mosque has a West Asia kind of design, and it is a combination of Islamic and modernist architecture style, It uses the concept of Petronas Twin Tower, called Rub el Hizb. The Rub el Hizb is an important symbol found in many Islamic culture, it is two overlapping squares, one rotated 45 degrees, with a circle inscribed in the centre. But this mosque does not has any minarets. Minarets is not religious requirement for a mosque, the earliest mosque were built without a minaret.
National Mosque Malaysia

It is located in Kuala Lumpur, it was built in 1965. This mosque is a bold and modern approach, symbolic of the aspirations of a newly independent Malaysia. It feature a minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The roof as umbrella, and the minaret as a closed umbrella, indicate the tropics. This mosque is different from other, this is a modern architecture style of mosque, it does not has a dome on the roof, but the interior of the mosque still remain Islamic style of design.
Darul Ehsan Mosque
Darul Ehsan Mosque is located in Subang Jaya, Selangor, and it is the first mosque in Subang Jaya. It was built in 1985. This mosque has 4 minarets located in each corner. It is a small mosque, but it has all the Islamic mosque architecture elements in it.
Al Husna Mosque
It is located at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It is a moderate size of mosque, and has a western style of external design. The architecture of it is infused with western architecture, together with modern kind of look, but it also retain Islamic architecture style.
